Green Chili - Diana

Diana's modification from the Grammie's original recipe but less tomatos. She also coats the pork cubes with flour instead of adding the flour as a thicking agent later. She also reduced the rotel from 2 can's to 1 can to make it less hot. Add heat later if you want it hotter or use hot green chilis.

Ingredients

1/2  pork butt roast cut into small cubes
. salt
. pepper
3 T flour (heaping tablespoons)
   
8 oz can rotel
1 med can green chiles
1 28 oz can water
1 chopped onion
4 to 5 cloves garlic chopped or garlic powder
. Oregeno
. Cumin
. Caldo
. Dill

Preparation

  1. Coat the cut pork with flour
  2. Brown pork, garlic, salt & pepper in a little oil
  3. Add remaining ingredients. 
  4. Let cook 30 - 45 minutes. 
  5. Very good with tortillas or over burritos.
